The Rise of Autonomous Ops: Inside AWS's DevOps Agent with David Yanacek

Corey's AWS banter has always been on point, and hilarious. He pokes fun at where AWS is rough around the edges, but out of a desire to help shape it.

My favorite clip of Corey remains this 2019 interview at re:Invent, where he says, "The AWS product strategy remains what it has been, and that is simply 'yes'." (With sarcastic airquotes, of course.) He continues, "If you'd asked me to predict what they would have released at Midnight Madness, I would have had several guesses, none of which would have been, 'Well it's a piano keyboard thing that also does machine learning'. And my followup would be, 'Well of course it is! Does it also make fries?'"

So when I heard I'd be on Corey's podcast Screaming in the Cloud, I was starstruck, and nervous, just wanting to do my best to be on something I've been following for so long.

I was doing my best to keep up with his rapid-fire wit! Like when I said I still carry a pager 📟, he said, "As an Amazonian, I assume you carry six pagers 📜". (The joke, if you're not an Amazon dork like me)
